Bessie Husley Stanovich went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the age of 101. Her final wish was that she spend her last days at home and God granted that as He opened his arms during the early hours of Monday morning. Bessie was born on her father's property on Popps Ferry Road and spent her entire life there.
Bessie was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Missie and Elmer Felsher; her husband, Peter Stanovich, Sr.; her parents, Fritz and Golda Mae Husley; her siblings, Fabian Husley, Muriel Hosli, Dixie Maples, Bert Husley, Frederick Husley, and Quention Husley.
Bessie leaves behind to cherish her memories her four sons of whom she was so proud, Peter E. (Shirley) Stanovich, Jr., Quention (Fran) Stanovich, Roy Stanovich, Lindus (Wanda) Stanovich; her grandchildren, Susan (Jimmy) Lawrence, Tammy (Terry) Felsher, Tonya (Anthony) Wilson, Peter Stanovich, III, Ashlei (Dennis) Perkins, Lindus E. Stanovich, Olivia Stanovich, and Cameron Stanovich.
Bessie was also the proud great-grandmother of Mandy Hornsby, Holly Richards, Chad Lawrence, Meghan Wilson, Katelyn Otten, Natalie Wilson, Andie Stanovich, Peter Stanovich, IV, Kylie Perkins, Harper Lee Perkins, and Henli Perkins. She has one great-great-grandchild, Mia Lawrence.
Our precious mother and grandmother gave to all of us her time, her wisdom, and her love. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren had tremendous respect for her and were entertained with her stories and recollections and her dry sense of humor.
A private graveside service will be held for family.
