Beverly Hunt Maaya

Beverly Hunt Maaya, 72, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at O.S. Hospital. She was born May 7, 1948, in Charleston, West Virginia to Burl Hunt and Clara Smith Hunt. She graduated from the University of MS with a degree in education and taught elementary school for many years along the Coast and in the Delta. She loved to spend time with her family and relished being a part of their lives. Beverly’s faith in God never wavered and helped her endure during her 10-year struggle with multiple myeloma. She was preceded in death by her father, Burl; and sister, Robin Hunt Tapper. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ramzi; her mother, Clara; her daughter, Elise Cox (Bobby); son, Eric Maaya; ten grandchildren, Charlie, (Grace), Casey, (Hannah), Daniel, Jonathan, Jesse, Samuel, David, and Nathan Cox and Riley and Robin Maaya. No service is planned but the family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate Beverly's life. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs is honored to serve this family.
