Mrs. Casi Arsane Trahan Wood, age 51, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Mrs. Wood was born July 16, 1966 in Biloxi, MS and raised on the Point on Pearl Street until she was 25. She attended Biloxi High School and played trumpet in the band.
At the age of 26, she married and moved to Ocean Springs and lived in the Fountainebleau community. She worked in design engineering, at Gulf Coast Produce, and at Ocean Springs High School as the cafeteria manager. She owned a snowball stand for 20 years and watched the children grow up in the community where everyone loved and respected her.
Mrs. Wood is survived by her husband Earl Wood, Sr. and her son, Earl Wood, Jr., both of Fountainebleau, MS; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Williams of Pascagoula, MS, and Heather Pike, of Savannah, GA; her father, Sidney Trahan, Sr. and brother, Sidney Trahan, Jr., both of Biloxi, MS; her sister, Crystal Geissinger of Cape Girardeau, MO; her step-grandson, Braxton Williams, of Pascagoula, MS; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a 12:00 p.m. service, all on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Belle Fountain Baptist Church, 7900 Fountainbleau Road, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
