Charles Baraboo

Charles Baraboo, a longtime resident of Ocean Springs, passed away December 1, 2018. He was a Veteran of World War Il, Korean War and Vietnam War serving in the Army Air Corps, US Navy and US Air Force. After retiring from the Armed Services, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the USM and was employed with the Mississippi State Employment Service in the positions of Contract Manager and Labor Market Analyst. He is survived by his loving wife Nicki Baraboo; his son Jerry Baraboo; his daughter Suzanne Baraboo Hardin; and his grandchildren Amanda, Crystal, Justin, Jennifer and Michael. He was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and managing his yard. He especially took great joy in rescuing abandoned dogs. He leaves behind his beloved "AJ" and "BJ." We are grateful to have shared our lives with our dear loved one. We remember all his caring ways and we know his love was real. Special appreciation to the Ocean Springs Hospital ICU Team and to the Ochsner's ICU Team for all their care and treatment. Special thanks to our great friends, Chris Cockran and his family for all their help. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home from 2:30 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park with military honors.
