Christopher Soldo

Christopher Soldo, 60, of Vancleave, MS passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Soldo was a graduate of Biloxi High School and USM. He met his wife, Candy working at the Holiday Inn and have been married for 27 years. He was previously employed with Boomtown Casino and former owner of Bruno’s Café in Biloxi. Mr. Soldo was owner of Simply Seafood Catering which was founded in 2005. He cooked for the Diocese of Biloxi and loved to golf with his son, Stephen. Mr. Soldo also cooked for baseball drawdowns and church drawdowns. He loved spending time at the barn and horse shows with Candy. Mr. Soldo enjoyed feeding the Vancleave Football teams in the 2000 – 2010 era. He loved Mardi Gras Season, putting up Christmas trees every year and his Porsche. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Eve and Louis Michael Soldo, Sr. Mr. Soldo’s survivors include his loving wife, Candy McCord Soldo; his son, Stephen Soldo; his sisters, Anna (Mike) Philhower of Rock Island, IL and Phyllis Soldo of Biloxi; his brother, Louis Soldo of Biloxi; his nephew, Pete; his niece, Amanda; his in-laws, Randy Barnes, Susan (Richard) Feaga and John (Lucy) Barnes; and his father and mother-in-law, James and Jewel Barnes of Montgomery, AL. Visitation will be held at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:45 am followed by a 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
