Clinton Chappell

Mr. Clinton Chappell, age 45, lost his 18 month battle with colon and liver cancer, on August 18, 2017. He was born at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula, MS to Vernon and Camille Chappell. He graduated from Pascagoula High School and went on to graduate from Southern Miss with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He spent many hours studying guitar and played in the Pascagoula High Jazz Band. He loved all types of music and was welcomed at many gatherings with friends and family. At the end his fingers were playing a silent tune. Clint was a member of Gautier UMC and will be dearly missed by family and friends. Survivors include his mother, Camille Chappell, Lake of Pines, Vancleave, three children, Jacob, Emily and Sarah and their mother, Deana, of Vancleave, MS, three sisters, Jeannine (Dennis) Schexnayder, Houston, TX, Maurry (Wes) Malcomb, Irvington, AL and Roberta (Byron) Hunt of Vancleave, MS, brother, Bobby (Susan) Russell of Biloxi, MS, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. At the time Clint was diagnosed he was told that cancer had been undetected in his body for ten years. Please let this be a warning to everyone to get your colon checks and other checkups for cancer and don't think you won't get cancer. Do this for yourselves and your loved ones.
