Dahlia "Meemaw" Reeves

Dahlia “Meemaw” Reeves, age 90, of Gulfport passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018. Mrs. Reeves was a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and taught in Gulfport schools for 33 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, and will be missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Reeves is preceded in death by her husband, J.E. “Jet” Reeves; parents, Daniel and Katie Read; and 13 siblings. Survivors include her loving daughter, Laura Bragg (Billy); 4 grandchildren, Brandon Payne, Philip Bragg, Mary Ellen Neil (Pete), and Katie Bragg; and three great grandchildren, Foster, Jack Henry, and Ellen Grace. Services will be held at Bradford O’Keefe on 15th St on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 1 o’clock. Friends may visit one-hour prior. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Reeves to Harrison County Humane Society.
