Darlene A. Morrow DiMauro

Mrs. Darlene A. Morrow DiMauro of Biloxi was born on January 23, 1956 in Mobile, AL. On March 10, 2021, Darlene lost her battle with a lung disease; however, she has won the victory and is now with the Lord. She was surrounded by her loving husband, children, and sisters. Darlene, affectionately called Mom, Gammy, and “D”, was a strong woman with a steadfast faith in Christ. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Biloxi. All she wanted in life was for her children to have their hearts’ desires and to be happy. She was a champion for whatever they chose to pursue and supported them in their endeavors. She cherished moments with her grandchildren and loved spoiling them. She would often watch TV shows or play online games via Zoom with her grandson, Zachary, while he was away at college, take her granddaughter, Cayla shopping or for a quick treat at Chick-fil-a or Starbucks, and travel to watch her grandsons Nicolas and Nathan play sports. She enjoyed vacationing with her husband and sister, Darnell and brother-in-law, Terry. She never met a stranger and was a close friend to many. She loved gardening and could often be seen in the yard watering her flowers. She loved to argue and prove others wrong, being quick to Google anything she disagreed about to let the other person know the real facts. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, watching Charles Stanley and Classic Billy Graham, playing online word games, history, vocabulary- constantly looking up word definitions, and researching a variety of topics. “D”, as she was called by her co-workers, worked in the accounts payable and purchasing department for Biloxi Public Schools since 2005. Her coworkers knew her for her vibrant personality, her hard-work, and a strong moral compass. She was always willing to help and jump through any hoops to make sure the schools and teachers had everything they needed to teach children. She knew everyone that walked through the door, was always there to talk to or listen to, and was known most for her uncensored filter. She shared these same qualities with others as an employee of Keesler Federal Credit Union for 10 years and Kroger Food Stores. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. James and Mrs. Dorothy Morrow; her father and mother-in-law, Mr. Harry and Mrs. Connie DiMauro; her aunt and friend Carol Poe; her granddaughter, Carina Abigail; and her grandchildren born into heaven. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Mr. Martin “Marty” DiMauro, her adoring children, James “Jimmy” DiMauro of Biloxi, Joseph “Joey” DiMauro (Tanya) of Bartlett, TN, Rachel DiMauro of Biloxi, Christy DiMauro of Biloxi; her precious grandchildren, Zachary and Cayla DiMauro of Biloxi and Nicolas and Nathan DiMauro of Bartlett, TN; her siblings, twin sister Dorretta Davis (John), Darnell Veach (Terry), David Morrow (Laura), Darin Morrow (Jody); and numerous other close relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at the following address https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/PFFTribute/DarleneMorrowDiMauro or text PFFTribute792 to 71777 She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
