Darnell Ann Dannelley Soljan

Darnell Ann Dannelley Soljan, 71, born in Biloxi on October 2, 1947 left us to be with our Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She was born to Robert “Bob” Dannelley and Mercedes “DeeDee” Desporte Dannelley, both from Biloxi, who preceded her in death. Darnell leaves behind her beloved husband of 50 years, Michael Soljan; her son, Scott Soljan of Biloxi and her daughter, DeeDee Soljan Hooker of Colorado. She leaves her grandchildren, Sami Bree Soljan, Carson Hooker and Blake Hooker. She also leaves her brother, Bobby Dannelley and wife Becky Dannelley along with a multitude of cousins and friends. While still at Biloxi High School, she was Head Majorette for the famous Biloxi High Indian Marching Band in 1965. Later when her children were older, she enjoyed teaching preschoolers. As a devoted daughter she cared for her mother until she passed. Mike and Darnell have attended Our Lady of Fatima for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until mass time. Entombment will follow at Southern Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
