Delores Ione Walston

Delores Ione Walston, age 72, of D’Iberville passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. Delores was born on July 29, 1945 in Biloxi, MS to Miral and Mary Nelson. She loved being a mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles Walston; son, Walter A. Walston; brothers, Walter and Milton Ware; sisters, Evelyn Rose Marquez, Doris Mae Deno, and Mildred Ann Dean; and grandsons, Gary Walston and Stephen Merrill. She is survived by her husband Warren Walston; children, Gary Walston, John Walston, Sebrina Merrill, David Walston, Kim Walston and Rachel Walston; sister, Jeraldine Keller; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her dog, Hannah; Buddy the cat; best friend, Cersey Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Singing River Health Systems and Hospice of Light for their care and compassion. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 12pm at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 11-12pm. Interment will follow at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport.
