Doris Mae LeFebvre

Doris Mae LeFebvre, born in July, 1938 in Manoa, PA, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 in Gulfport, MS. She grew up in California, married and moved to the Gulf Coast where her first husband Jack Wright was stationed at Keesler AFB. She and Jack had three children. After Jack died of cancer, she met and married Alton LeFebvre and was married to him for over five decades. They lived in Gulfport for over 53 years. Doris was a kind individual and volunteered many times to help others. She volunteered over 3,000 hours in the Sunshine Guild over a number of years. She excelled as a homemaker, mother and wife. “Others before self” seemed to be her motto. She and her husband grew beautiful camellias and she was president of the Camellia Club for a number of years. Doris so loved her family and friends. She loved music and singing and was a member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sylvia Raupp, daughter Debbie, brother Don Carr and sister Sylvia Layne. She is survived by her husband, Alton R. LeFebvre, two sons Steven Wright (Nancy) and Charles Wright, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Memorial Hospital for their care of Doris. Visitation will be Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the O’Neal Road location of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport. A service will be held at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the LeFebvre family.
