Doris J. Marbury

Doris J. Marbury passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 and into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ. She founded the Total Child Learning Center (TLC) in 1980 and remained as Director until her retirement in 2014. The number of children impacted by her love and education throughout the years is considerable. Mrs Marbury was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Maggie Joyner, a sister, Jimmy Ruth Stephans, her nephew, Charles Ray Mooney and her former husband, Charles A. Marbury. She is leaving behind her children, Greg (Sharon) Marbury, Susan (Charles) Pitts, Lori (Robert) Brady and Leigh Marbury, grandchildren Elizabeth N. (Ryan) Otthofer, Gregory (Andrew) Marbury, Jessica (Phillip) Schisler, Brian (Lindsay) Pitts and Olivia Marbury and great-grandchildren, Tate Otthofer and Aubrey and Donovan Schisler. A Memory Memorial will be held on Wednesday, February 13, from 6pm until 8pm at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. In lieu of flowers, please donate a book to a child, local library, day care or school.
