Elmyra "Pal" Reeves, age 88, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017.
Pal was born on April 30, 1929 in Biloxi, MS. She was a graduate of the University Of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in 1952. She was the first female pharmacist graduate to be employed on the MS Gulf Coast from the college. She worked all of her life as a pharmacist and served on several committees with the church, schools and care-giving. She was a member of J.T. Leggett Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother for Cub Scouts from 1949-1981 and was Camp Director from 1960-1970. She was presented the leadership award for her outstanding service to the Girl Scouts of Gulf Pines Council in 1965. Pal also assisted in setting up the Feed My Sheep Program. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Magnolia Chapter, No. 388 in Biloxi, MS. She served on the Biloxi High School Scholarship committee and judge for MS Arts for the handicap in Gulfport, MS. She loved painting, making Ming trees and doing volunteer work.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Pat H. Reeves; her parents, Viola Bond and Matthew “Slim” Pierocich; and baby brother, Billy Pierocich.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Reeves and her son, Archie Reeves.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 3pm. Friends may visit from 1:30-3pm. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
