Emily Aline Gilmore of Gulfport, MS passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 07, 2019.
Mrs. Emily was born in Biloxi, MS on December 01, 1929. She married Roy in 1947. Mrs. Emily was a resident of Biloxi until Hurricane Katrina destroyed their home. She then relocated to Gulfport. She was a great cook and made the best divinity fudge you will ever eat. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and playing in the casinos. She also crocheted many beautiful afghans for her family and friends. She loved her family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Aline Manuel; her husband, Roy E. Gilmore, Sr.; her brothers, Buddy, Ollie, Harold, Sherwood and Glen Manuel; her sisters, Ila Mae Bertucci, Lurline Battaya and Ellen Harrison; her infant grandson, Chad Merrill; and her son-in-law, Wayne Rodolfich.
Mrs. Emily is survived by her sister, Aline Humphrey (Hump); and her children, Susan O'Neal (Bill), Charlotte Smith (Louis), Roy E. Gilmore, Jr. (Debbie), Michael Gilmore Sr. (Linda), and David Gilmore Sr. (Tamatha); 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Dixie White House for their loving care of our mother.

Funeral Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, November 09, 2019 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
