Frances Josephine Waltman

Mrs. Frances Josephine Waltman gained her wings on March 21, 2020. She was very caring, and a loving mother, friend and grandmother. She loved going to church, fishing and going to the casinos with her pockets full of nickels. She made friends everywhere she went. She loved giving hugs and talking to everyone. She lived at River Chase the last years of her life. Everyone there called her grandma. They did a wonderful job taking care of her special needs. I know she will be missed at “Home” that is what she called River Chase Village. She had her picks out of everyone. She especially loved her great granddaughter, Emma Johnson, her granddaughter, Andria Speight and her grandson, Chris Castillo. They kept her laughing with each visit. She is preceded in death by her parent, Pascal and Margaret Scara; her husband, Mr. Bud Waltman; her daughter, Mary Brossett; three sisters, Ann Weems, Margaret Waltman and Verna Williams; brother, Joseph Scara; and twin brother, Frank Wilson. Survivors include her two daughters, Debbie (Tim) Fortenberry of Vancleave and Elizabeth (David) DeLeon; three sons, Bud “Bubba” (Lorrie) Waltman, Jr, Lamar (Kimberly) Waltman and Willie Waltman; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members. The family would like to extend a special thank you to: River Chase Village in Gautier where everyone there is so kind, caring and loving and we could never thank you enough, you are all God sent; to Notre Dame Hospice Care, even though they were there for a short time, they were absolutely a blessing; to Singing River Hospital Staff, you were all great to her on her visits and I thank you for showing her care and patience; and to her church family at Belle Fountain Baptist Church for taking the time out of your busy life to stop by and check on her and for all your help when she was home. God Bless You All. For the safety of her family and friends, a private graveside service will be held. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bradford-O’Keefe for helping with her final arrangements during these trying times. Love you mom. I know you finally got to go home to your mama. Missing you until we can meet again. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, is honored to serve this family.
