Mr. Frank Louis Joris, Jr., age 64, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
Frank was born on December 28, 1954 in Biloxi, MS, but remained a lifelong resident of D’Iberville where he also graduated in 1972. Frank was a retired Union Electrician of 46 years with IBEW Local 903. Frank enjoyed throwing a cast net, eating mullet, drinking beer, and was an extreme fan of the L.A. Rams and Alabama. He enjoyed the water, beach, and the islands. Horn Island being his favorite. He was known as “Lightning” and founding member of the James Gang. He was a great father, brother, friend and person.
Frank is preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Rayborn; his stepmother, Carolyn Joris; and very special K9 Companion, Lilly.
Survivors include his lifetime companion, Linda Barber; three daughters, Jennifer Joris (Charles D’Angelo), Savannah Simmons and Janelle Darnell; father, Frank Joris, Sr.; sisters, Lora Joris (Danny Davis) and Susan Champagne; brother, Craig Joris; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Jayden, Jaylen, Danielle, and Jacelynn; four nephews, Melvin, Craig, Robbie, and Will; 2 nieces, Sheree and Danielle; and K9 Companion, Boo Boo.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
