Frederick Francis Liscoe Sr.

Frederick Francis Liscoe, Sr., Air Force Senior Master Sergeant retired, died peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the age of 94. Fred was born in San Bernardino, CA, on January 13, 1924 and was raised in Los Angeles. He leaves to cherish his memories, son, Frederick F. “Rusty” (Kathie) Liscoe, Jr. of Pensacola, FL; and daughter, Patricia (Robert) Nance of Gulf Breeze, FL. He was proudest of his only grandchild Frederick F. “Jantzen” (Lauren) Liscoe, III. He is also survived by his cousins, Douglas Kranking, of Erie, PA and Audrey Liscoe of Parma, OH. and two great-granddaughters, Stella and Greta. Fred was preceded in death by his devoted wife Mary (Pickich) Liscoe of 60 years; parents, Stephen and Edith (Kranking) Liscoe; four uncles, Fred Kranking; Andy, John and Michael Liscoe and three aunts, Betty (Kranking) Myers; Ann and Mary Liscoe. An Air Force veteran, he served in World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam wars, where he was the recipient of the distinguished flying cross. His assignments took him all over the world with his last as a flight engineer to the Chief of Staff on Air Force One. In 1972, after a 30-year distinguished military career, Fred retired to the Gulf Coast. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, served as Eucharistic Minister; an active member of the Knights of Columbus serving as Deputy Grand Knight; and, the Alhambra serving as Comptroller. Fred lived a life devoted to working hard and loving and caring for his family and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 13, from 10am until 11am, with an 11am Mass of Christian Burial, all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. . Burial will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
