George Dewey Pegler,

George Dewey Pegler, Jr., age 69 of Biloxi, MS passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his home. He was born December 8, 1951 in Gulfport, MS. He was a graduate of the class of 1969 from Gulfport High School where he was a member of the band. He attended Gulf Coast Community College. He was a member of Woolmarket Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. George will be missed deeply by his family. George was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George (Ida) Pegler, Sr.; brothers, Stanley Hatten and Raymond Hatten; sisters, Jeanie Hatten Williams and Peggy Pegler Benjamin. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Linda Pegler; daughter, Aimee (Daniel) Raymond; son, Jeffrey (Marquette) Pegler; grandchildren, Conner Howard, Caroline Howard, Deanna Raymond, Luke Pegler, Layne Pegler, and Lucy Kate Pegler. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. No services have been planned at this time.
