Gerald E. Lynd

Mr. Gerald E. Lynd, age 88, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018. Mr. Lynd was born in Biloxi, MS and was a lifelong resident of the coast. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Ingalls and Kennedy Engine Marine, a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge #606 in Biloxi and of the Methodist faith. Mr. Lynd was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lynd and Lottie Brodnax Lynd and a sister, Louise Murphy. Survivors include his daughters, Mary Lynd Gray and Jennifer L. Lynd, brother-in-law, Pat Murphy and five nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 10, from 11am until 1pm, with a 1pm chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
