Harold Wayne Rushing of Vancleave, MS passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Biloxi at the age of 66.
Harold was born in Fairhope, AL. He graduated from St. Martin High School. Harold attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA from Warren National University. He worked as a Business Manager for Jackson County School District for 37 years. Harold was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He was a man of God and a lifetime student of the Bible.
Harold was a Past Master of the McLeod Lodge #424 and a Past Worthy Patron for Fellowship Chapter #388, Order of the Eastern Star. He was a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Ida Olean Simpler Rushing.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Jo Rushing; his son, Sidney (Paula) Rushing; his daughter, Ashley Rushing (John) Guice; his granddaughters, Piper Rushing and Skylar Rushing; his grandsons, Kade Guice and Fisher Guice; his sister, Marian (John) Pound; his brothers, Jerry (Lee) Rushing, Thomas (Glenda) Rushing, Randall (Rhonda) Rushing and William (Daryl) Rushing; his sister-in-law, Penny (Greg) Payne; his mother-in-law, Liz Sturtevant Baker; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church in Vancleave on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time.
