Ivy Carolyn Johnson Palmer

Ivy Carolyn Johnson Palmer, 79, of Saucier passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Ivy was a lifelong resident of the White Plains Community and was a member of White Plains United Methodist Church. She retired from the Harrison County School System where she was a bus driver for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Skipper Palmer; and grandchildren, Carl Joseph Unger and Ashley Leighann Zapata. Survivors include her daughters, Dana (Kendall) Husley, Dinah (Dan) Shuttleworth, and Dawn (Jamie) Van Vulpen; grandchildren, Kayla (Dalton) Mitchell, John (Becky) Shuttleworth, Michael Shuttleworth, Kristofer Shuttleworth, Connor Van Vulpen, Bayli Van Vulpen, and Jason Zapata; great-granddaughter, Raye Leighann Mitchell; and brother, Daniel “Laine” Johnson. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 27, 2018 at White Plains UMC Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
