Jacqueline Fountain Fancher

Jacqueline Fountain Fancher, age 88, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Ocean Springs. She was born March 22, 1929 to Freddie Fountain and Fannie Grieff Fountain. Her many pleasures were bingo, shopping, eating out with her friends, and going to casinos. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs. Jacqueline is preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Roberts, Sr.; second husband of 47 years, Gene Fancher; brother, Frederick "Freddie" Fountain; and son-in-law, John Ross. Survivors include four children, Sandra Roberts Ross, Paul E. (JoLynn) Roberts, Jr. Gregory M. (Joan) Roberts, and Richard "Steve" (Judy) Roberts; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Harwell and staff for being so considerate in caring of our mother; also, many thanks to all of her dear friends at the Samaritan House where she lived, especially the bingo crew, and to Father Harold Roberts and Reverend Bruno Shroeder. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
