James “Jim” Henkelmann, born March 27, 1942 in Green Bay, WI to the late Martha and Harry Henkelmann, passed away at age 76 on May 16, 2018 in D’Iberville, MS.
Jim graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1965 and then received an MBA from Louisiana Tech University in 1973. From 1971 to 1986, Jim served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Col. Jim went on to work for the State of Alabama as a Computer Analyst and retired in 2002.
Jim is survived by his wife of 41 years, Chom Henkelmann; his daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Phillip Garrard; his son, Fred Henkelmann; his daughter-in-law, Ashley Eskew; three grandchildren, Devon Henkelmann, Katy Henkelmann and Harrison Garrard; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Earl Neville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Roger and Linda Henkelmann and John Henkelmann.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Jim’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Visitation will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am followed by an 11:00 am graveside service at Biloxi National Cemetery.
