James “Red” Curtis Wilson, age 86 of Vancleave passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018.
James was a long-time resident of Vancleave, MS. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and had retired from Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 568.
James was well known for his gardening, lawn mower “tinkering,” and his generosity to all. He never met a stranger, and if you ever had the privilege to meet him then you always left with a smile on your face. He was a family man, and loved working in his shop.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Lee Wilson; his daughter, Elva Mae (Charles) Cunningham; three sons, William Curtis (Tommie June) Wilson, John Willie (Helen) Wilson, and Richard Dean (Kathe) Wilson; an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
James Wilson was truly loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Vancleave, MS. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. A service will follow in the Vancleave Chapel at 2:00 P.M.
Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery. The Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
