Janet Marie Basehore

Janet Marie Basehore, 86, of Gulfport, MS died Sunday afternoon, July 18, at home with family. Born October 29, 1934 in Palmyra, PA, she was the wife of the late Earl F. Basehore, the daughter of the late William J. Moyer and Ruth A. Kramer. She was retired Cracker Barrel Cashier/Trainer, and previously retired Medical Outpatient Intake Secretary from Penn State University Medical Center, Hershey, PA. She was a graduate of Hershey High School and Elizabethtown College Accounting program. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, former member of First Baptist Biloxi and Evangelical Free Church of Hershey. She was well known for her love of music, as she played organ and piano both in PA and MS. She was always active in church and enjoyed serving people in any way she could. Surviving are daughters Kim L. Crumling of Myrtle Beach, SC and Renee M. Paquin of Gulfport, MS. Also surviving are brothers Kevin Moyer of Broken Arrow, OK, Daryl Moyer of Marietta, PA and sisters RuthAnne (Moyer) Gress of Lancaster, PA, Karen (Moyer) Geesaman of Hummelstown, PA and Eloise (Moyer) Vollmer of Williards, MD. She was predeceased by sister Marilyn (Moyer) Shutter of Grantville, PA. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jonathan Basehore, Chantel Trievel, Gia Mariakis, Bryian Paquin and Dana Noffsinger, along with great grandchildren, Jonathan Basehore, Jr., Brianna Basehore, Aidan Trievel, Marcus Trievel, Sebastian Noffsinger, Genevieve Noffsinger, Loralinn Paquin, Leslie Paquin and Layla Paquin. A memorial service will be held at Parkway Baptist Church, 17284 MS-67, Biloxi on Thursday, July 29, at 2:00 pm. There will be no viewing but a brief photo remembrance prior to the service. Ashes will be interred at Hanoverdale Cemetary in Hummelstown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parkway Baptist Church, 17284 MS-67, Biloxi, MS 39532.
