Janet Rose Beaugez Munger, age 83 of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020.
She was born on January 12, 1937 in Ocean Springs, MS. Janet graduated from Ocean Springs High School. She won most valuable player and received several awards as a basketball star. Janet was employed at Kmart in Ocean Springs. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family. Sunday lunches were the best. Janet was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She was the most loving, caring, and selfless woman. The family will miss her more than words could explain.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Beaugez and Cora Seymour Beaugez; son, David J. Munger; sisters, Doris Galle, Mary Helen Terry, and Anne Beaugez; brothers, Raymond “Big Boy” Beaugez, and Bobby “Woody” Beaugez; brother-in-law, Thomas Galle; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Nancy Munger II; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles F. Munger, they were inseparable for sixty three years; her daughters, Mona Munger and Linda Munger; grandkids, Jon (Pam) Munger, Chris (Erica) Munger, and Cathy Munger; great-grandkids, Kayla Munger, Brendan Munger, Jon Corbin Munger, Evelyn Munger, Olivia Kramer, and Colin Munger; daughter-in-law, Deborah Lynn Munger; brother, David “Moe” (Denita) Beaugez; sisters-in-law, Olive Beaugez Burch, Donna Jean Beaugez, Jean (Mike) Barnett, and Diane (Bob) Sylvia; “adopted” brother, J.B. (Debbie) Galle; and special friend, Paula Shockey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to SAAD Healthcare/Hospice: Betty, Sandra, Sara, Jessica, and all the aides and staff. We appreciated everything they did for us.

A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm on Friday, June 5, 2020 with a 1:30 pm mass all at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ocean Springs. Burial will follow at Bellande Cemetery in Ocean Springs. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs, is honored to serve this family.
