Jenny Janelle

Jenny Janelle, age 77, of Ocean Springs, passed away at home on Thursday, July 26, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Jenny was a longtime resident of Ocean Springs. She was employed at Alpha Optics and recently retired from the Ocean Springs Family Medical Clinic after 28 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and will be missed by all who knew her. Jenny faced these latest medical issues head-on, never letting her inner struggles show, just so that her family could all stay strong together. She’d want us all to smile, to remember the good times and to carry on, love each other and know we’ll always have her spirit with us. Ms. Janelle is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Catherine McManus; brother, Thomas A. McManus; and daughter, Jerri Lee LaCour. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Janelle (John) (VA) and Douglas Janelle II (Sandra) (VA); grandson, Nicholas LaCour; grand-daughter, Angela Walzer (her “Angel Rosie” and light of her life); sister, Theresa Arbogast; and brother, Patrick McManus (Emma)(FL). Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service.
