Jessie Owen Gore, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 28, 2018.
Jessie was in the Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. After his service, Jessie was a jack of all trades who never met a stranger. He worked as a truck driver, mechanic, and electrician. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He had a very big heart and was loved by many.
Jessie is preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon Glenn Gore and Elizabeth Gore; and brother, Napoleon (Buck) Gore.
Survivors include the love of his life Shirley (Jeannie) Gore; his three children and their spouses, Timmy and Krystal Gore, Jenny and Jordan Church, and Billy and Jerri Gore; and grandchildren Aimee Gore, Mikayla Gore, Caitlin Gore, Brooklyn Church, and Addelyn Church.
Services will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Road in Biloxi on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation will be held for family from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in lieu of flowers.
