Jimmie Lee Chapman, Sr.

Jimmie Lee Chapman, Sr., age 75, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in D'Iberville, MS. He was a native of Columbus, MS and longtime resident of the coast. He was in the U.S. Air Force and a Vietnam veteran. He also served on the D'Iberville Planning Commission and was a board member of the Gulf Coast Par Busters Golf Club, and a member of the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge. Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Ellis Chapman. Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly Chapman and Winifred Chapman-Smith; son, Jimmie Lee (Norma Jean) Chapman, Jr.; sisters, Christine Chapman Sneed and Johnny Ruth (Earl) Thompson; brother, Robert (Carolyn) Chapmon; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a service Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
