John B Blakeney

Mr. John B. Blakeney, age 86, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Mr. Blakeney was born on September 1, 1931 in Laurel, MS. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from USM. He served in the U.S. Army as a medical technician and worked as a lead lab technician in the VA Hospital in Biloxi. He was a world traveler and recently volunteered for Red Cross Blood Drives. Mr. Blakeney was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Grace Blakeney. He is survived by his cousin, Tom (Sherry) Roberts. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Merit Health, 5th Floor, for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Red Cross. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Anatole Bay Recreational Room. Refreshments will be served. Interment will be held at a later date at Biloxi National Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
