Jon Brandon Harrison Gartman

Jon Brandon Harrison Gartman (51) of Biloxi Mississippi passed away on Saturday December 5, 2020. The son of Jonny Duane Gartman and Susan Lee Caraway Gartman, Brandon grew up in Midwest City, Oklahoma with his brother Russel Lloyd McKeever Gartman. Brandon was known for his expression of joy, his generosity, his humor, and storytelling abilities. Brandon’s mother, Susan, was his heart, providing the foundation from which he developed into the very kind and loving man known by all. Brandon’s dad, Jon D, was his hero, teaching him his tremendous work ethic and a great love of fast cars and huge trucks. His Uncle Mike taught him his great love of water and fast boats. Brandon also loved learning. He put himself through college and received a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola University in Chicago. In 2019, Brandon was named the Chief Operating Officer of Sears Hometown Stores, responsible for over 300 Sears stores. Brandon began his thirty-three-year career with Sears in high school. He started on the sales floor of the local Sears store, where he was quickly promoted and began training new sales associates. Other stores heard about him and soon he was training Oklahoma City-wide, then regionally, and finally brought to Sears Headquarters in Chicago where he rose through the ranks. Brandon was preceded in death by his dad, Jon D. and his grandparents Lloyd and Wanda Caraway and Red and Opal Gartman. Brandon is survived by his mother Susan; Jonathan Russell; stepdaughters, Karyn (Alex), Kailey (Jake) and Claire; his brother Russell and wife Angela and their children, Harrison and Michael; his Uncle Mike, Aunt Kate and his Aunt Jo and Uncle Kerry. He is also survived by a very loving and supportive set of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and lifelong best friends Scotty, Mike & Kim along with a wealth of friends, including previous spouse Keri, and co-workers throughout the United States who appreciated his leadership abilities. A virtual Celebration of Brandon’s Life will be held in January 2021. Details will be released at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to your favorite charity in Brandon’s name. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gartman family.
