Leonard "Buddy" Forehand

Leonard “Buddy” Forehand, Jr., age 75, passed away on December 25, 2020 in Ocean Springs. Buddy was born August 6, 1945 in Biloxi, Mississippi to the late Leonard Forehand, Sr. and Ruby V. Harris. He attended D’Iberville High School. He began his work as a welder at Huntington Ingalls in 1973, and worked there until his 2005 retirement to take care of his wife. He adored welding and his time spent at Ingalls. He loved to spend his time working on old cars, hunting, watching WrestleMania, going to the Moose Lodge, coaching softball, and traveling whenever he could. He is predeceased in death by his wife Judy Lynn Forehand, stepmom Marie Waldrop, and siblings Julius “Curly” Forehand, Michael “Mike” Forehand, Louise Smith, and Ruby Dean Smith. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Jones, children Debbie (Danny McClain) Scarborough and Bonnie (Troy Husley) Jones, Leonard “Scooter” Forehand III, stepchildren Larry Jones, Danny Jones, Christy Druey, and Ricky Druey, grandchildren Brandon (Chelsea) Scarborough, Jamie (Mike) Nogales, Ashten (Gary) Richard, Bryce Jones, and Trent Forehand, and step grandchildren Jordan Druey, Trey Jones, and Savanna Jones. In addition, he is survived by great-grandchildren Layla Richard, Anna Kate Richard, Judd Richard, Hunter Scarborough, Carson Scarborough, Addison Scarborough, Hayden Scarborough, Brayden Blythe, Emilee Ball, Kylie Blue Desilvey, and Gage Forehand, siblings Julius Forehand and Teri Clark, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue. A service will immediately follow. Interment will be at White Plains Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ocean Springs ED nurses Christine, Taylor, Dillan, and Nate, unit clerk Jessica, Dr. Paul Pavlov, Nurse Twy, and Dr. Babar. The family would also like to express a deep gratitude for his wife Sandra for her dedication to “crotchety” Buddy. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Forehand family.
