Leonard Carl Wicklund

Leonard Carl Wicklund, age 83, of Gautier, died Friday January 11, 2013 in Biloxi. Leonard was a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for over 40 years. He was a graduate of Boston University and he had a passion for sports, classic cars, and cowboy hats. He was a United States Marine, United States Army and United States Air Force Veteran. An active member of the American Legion Post #1992, Leonard will be remembered as a good natured person and was friendly to all who knew him. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Leonard is preceded in death by his wife, Doris Wicklund Mason; parents, Carl and Ellen Wicklund; sister, Claire Wicklund; and brother, Harry Wicklund. His survivors include his daughter, Muriel Swint of Ocean Springs, MS; son, Erick (Natalie) Wicklund of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Jane Nelson of Warwick, RI, Betty Cullinan of Pompano Beach, FL and Millie Mae Wicklund of Warwick, RI; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Ocean Spring at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
