With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother, Linda Kadue. Linda died peacefully on July 14, 2021, with family at her side.
Linda was born in 1950 on a U.S. Army base in Sendai, Japan; a fact she was always very proud of. Her family eventually moved to Jackson, Mississippi, where she graduated high school and later trained as a hair stylist. Linda met a young med school student Richard Kadue, whom she married in 1974. The two settled in Golden Valley, MN in 1980 and later divorced in 1997. In 1994, the family moved from Minnesota back to Mississippi where she lived at various times in Ocean Springs, Gulfport, and Grenada.
Linda was a beautiful woman who lived a full life as a loving mother and devoted friend. Her kindness and fun-loving spirit made an impact on everyone she met. A fan of the underdog, she befriended and became benefactor to a large number of people who needed help throughout her life. She took great enjoyment from helping others, and she served as a caretaker to both of her parents in their final years, as well as for her brother Arsie.
Survivors include her children, Ron (Evelyn), Adrian (Anne), Brad (Emily), and Diana Dinero (Clete); fifteen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please consider commemorating Linda’s life by doing a random act of kindness for someone who can use your help.
Visitation will be held at 10 am with a service at 11 am on Sunday, August 15, at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home at 911 Porter Ave, Ocean Springs, MS. Please come and share your stories and memories of Linda.
The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
