Lofton Gilmore Jones

Lofton Gilmore Jones, age 96, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018. Lofton spent 20 years in the United States Air Force where he traveled the world until retiring in 1964. He began his second career as a Loan Manager at Keesler Federal Credit Union where he retired in 1982. He is preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; and a step-daughter. Survivors include his wife, Alma Jean Jones; children, Jerrilon Young (Dane), Lofton Gilmore “Gil” Jones (Wanda), Jeff Jones (Dianne), and Steve Jones (Gayle); grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many other close relatives as well as extended family, Bebe, Cindy, John and Rusty. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Handsboro United Methodist Church where friends may visit one-hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors by the United States Air Force. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
