Mr. Lonnie Anthony Bobinger, Sr. age 77 of Gulfport, MS passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020.
Mr. Bobinger was born on May 25, 1943 in Kiln, MS and graduated from St. John Catholic School. He was a Sexton for the City of Gulfport at Evergreen Cemetery for almost 20 years. He was the co-owner of Brady’s Bait House with his wife, Lanette. He was an avid fisherman, loved being on the water and bird hunting. You could always find him at Brady’s Bait House in his off time. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Bobinger was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Joseph Bobinger and Lillie Cuevas Bobinger; son, Joseph Neil Bobinger; sibling, Kearney Bobinger; and granddaughter, Abigayle Bobinger.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lanette Bobinger; children, Lonnie Anthony Bobinger, Jr., John Bobinger, Kevin Bobinger, Rhonda Breland, Donna Cuevas, and Daryl “Mark” Bobinger; grandchildren, John Daniel, Anthony and Christina, Danielle, Lindsey and Lauren, Breanna and Daryl; and siblings, Elvin E. Bobinger and Sharon Dedeaux.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff members of Memorial Hospital in Gulfport and the ICU staff for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in his memory to be made to St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. The graveside service will be livestreamed on Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home’s Facebook page.
