Lydia Kay Cousins, age 61, of Gulfport, MS died Monday, May 24, 2021, at the Gulfport Care Center.
She was born in June of 1959, in Sulphur, LA. She graduated from Harrison Central High School, attended Phillips College in Gulfport and obtained a Masters in Accounting from University of North Carolina @ Charlotte. Lydia was employed by Starz Place Designs and her hobbies were yorkies, beading, sewing, traveling, painting, photography and swimming.
Lydia is preceded in death by her mother, Eathel Richard and a sister, Cynthia Richard. She is survived by her father, Wilfred Richard; her husband, Gary Michael Cousins; children Damion Michael Flynn, Amy Michelle Perez and Tabitha Lynn Cousins; grandchildren Stephen Flynn, Trinity Flynn, Christian Jackson, Hunter Ricci, Alexander Ricci, Connor Perez, Camila Perez and Trent Reilly; great grandchildren Robyn Flynn and Esperanza Ricci; sister Sharon Clifton; and pets Armani, Arabella and Ellie.
Visitation will be Friday, May 28, 2021, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at True Life Church, 62160 Airport Road, Slidell, LA 70460, on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 1 p.m. Interment will be at a later date when Lydia and Gary’s cremated remains are spread over the waters of the Caribbean.
