Margaret C. Kostellic passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of September 7, 2021.
Mrs. Kostellic was born in Biloxi on October 30, 1925 and attended Sacred Heart Academy. She was married to Major Frolin F. Kostellic on February 11, 1943 at the Keesler Air Force Base Chapel. After traveling the world for 27 years as an Air Force wife, they settled in Gulfport where she retired from Gayfers Department Store in the Edgewater Mall.
Mrs. Kostellic was preceded in death by her husband, Major Frolin F. Kostellic; son, CMSgt. Terry L. Kostellic; parents, Marguerite and Paul Joseph Taconi, Sr.; four brothers, Paul Joseph Jr., August, Oswald, and Ray “Sonny” Taconi.
Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Tony) Strnad; son, Paul Kostellic; granddaughters, Margaret Ann Strnad and Amber Lena; grandsons, Lee (Kate) Kostellic and Jeffrey (Kimberley) Kostellic; great-grandchildren, Haley and Hayden Lena, Lily, Charlie, and Wyatt Kostellic, and Brinley Kostellic.; former daughter-in-law, Kay Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice Services for their devotion and Brookdale Senior Retirement Community.
A private family service will be held with interment at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kostellic family.
