Marie Browning Sylvest

Marie Browning Sylvest, 70, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Sylvest was born December 31, 1948 in Dudelange, Luxembourg. She loved spending time with her family, crocheting, making earrings, sewing, knitting, bike riding, watching old movies and rock hunting. She also enjoyed swimming, making people laugh, doing word search puzzles, listening to music with her husband and relaxing with their dog, Noel. Mrs. Sylvest was enjoying her “retirement” and her She Shed. She was an incredible wife and the most loving, generous, kind and supportive mother. She was also the most loving grandmother (Nana and Ta) and friend to everyone and even a “second” mother to others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Metzger; and her sister, Denise Metzger. Mrs. Sylvest’s survivors include her husband, Robert Sylvest; her children, Charles W. Browning, Jr., Virginia M. (Ricky) Hilton, and Justina M. (Darren) Tillman; her grandchildren, Daniel R. H. (Xiao) Griffin, Michael P. Browning, Charles “Wesley” Browning, III, Cody A. Hilton, Colby W. Tillman, Garrett D. Browning and Dylan A. Tillman; and her dog, Noel. A Memorial Service will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time.
