Mark Calvin Kunz, 63, of Ocean Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 21, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Most people knew him as “Coon Dog” or “Coonie”, a friend you could always count on. His sense of humor was infectious & he was always the life of the party. Mark was an amazing friend who was always willing to go above & beyond for those in need. He kept a smile on his face & a good time was always had when he was around. He was a skilled carpenter for many years & took pride in his work. He enjoyed boating, NASCAR, & spending time with friends & family. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, & friend. Mark was proceeded in death by his parents Jerry & Darlene Kunz, grandmother Mildred “Pammy” Boehl & his son in law William “Corey” Vaughan. He is survived in death by his daughter Briana Kunz Vaughan, grandchildren Baileigh & Cruz Vaughan, sister Lori (Tony) Austin, nieces Ashley (Turtle) Gore, Charity Austin, great niece Ava Austin, girlfriend Linda Ladnier, as well as close friends Dean (Karen) Gladney, Gary Foutz, Ronnie (Tammy) Smith, Cecil (Alyson) Creel, Kenny Dinero, Julie Kunz, the Castaways family among many others. A visitation will be held on Saturday ,January 25, 2020 at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs from 1pm until 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be to Make A Wish Foundation in Marks memory.
