Martin "Dudie" L. Cruse, Jr., age 89, of D’Iberville, MS passed away on April 22, 2019.
He was born on January 30, 1930 in Biloxi, MS to Martin Cruse, Sr. and Ada Skinner Cruse. He was a lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast. He was a commercial fisherman his whole life and an avid sport fisherman. He was a loving husband, dad, and grandfather.
Mr. Cruse is preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Mavis Shows Cruse; parents, Martin Cruse, Sr. and Ada Skinner Cruse; and son, David Wayne Cruse; brothers, Elmer Cruse, Melvin Cruse, and Chester Cruse; sister, Dorothy (Dot) Holland.
He is survived by his daughter, Sue (Scotty) Jurich of D’Iberville, MS; daughter-in-law, Maria Cruse of Biloxi, MS; sons, Lee (Marilyn) Edward Cruse of Waco, TX, Mark Cruse of Biloxi, MS; half-sister, Sheila Kohlmeyer of TX; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6-8 pm with the Funeral Service on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10 am all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Biloxi City Cemetery.
