Mary Johanson Aucoin

Mary Johanson Aucoin, age 86, of Biloxi, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2020. Mrs. Aucoin was a longtime resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She had an enormous heart, she was a caregiver, an amazing cook, unbelievably witty, and unapologetically herself all of the time. She was known as Mickey to her closest friends and Granny to nearly everyone else because she was just one of those ladies that made you feel a part of the family and always welcome in her home. Mrs. Aucoin is preceded in death by her husband Sterling J. Aucoin Sr., her parents William and Mildred Johanson, and her siblings, Gerald Johanson and Caroline Migues. Survivors include her children Melody Phillips, Louis Aucoin (Sharon), Cindy Cole (Bruce), Sterling Aucoin, Michelle Agregaard (Johnny), 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Old Biloxi Cemetery. The service will also be live streamed on Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Due to COVID-19 restrictions masks are mandatory at the funeral home and there will be no fellowship gathering after services.
