Mattie Lee Wells

Mattie Lee Wells was born June 21, 1926 in Biloxi, MS and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her many relatives on February 25, 2021 at the age of 94. She was raised in a Christian home and was a “Prayer Warrior” by choice. She would pray with anyone needing help or prayer. She is preceded in death by parents Rev. L.D. Wells, Sr. and Addie Wells, brothers L.D. Wells, Jr., Walter B. Wells, Elmer J. Wells, Sr., sister Rev. Thelma Comadelle, and stepbrother John E. Wells. She is survived by nephews Ronald “Doc” (Patricia) Wells of Prairieville, LA and Luther “Buddy” (Martha) Wells of Baton Rouge, LA, and niece Byra Wells of California. Due to COVID-19, the family held a private funeral and burial. The Wells’ family would like to thank Greenbriar and Hospice for their love and dedication to taking care of their residence as well as Mattie’s faithful Pastor Rev. Pete Meakins.
