Michael Wargo

Michael Wargo, age 76, of Ocean Springs passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018. He was born on November 14, 1941 in Filbert, WV to Joseph and Elizabeth Wargo. Mr. Wargo retired from the US Air Force, where he served 2 tours in Vietnam. He also served in Korea, Germany, Japan, and numerous other foreign country tours. Mr. Wargo retired from Mississippi Power Plant Jack Watson where he was an Electrical Engineer. He was a good man. He touched whomever he met with a great impression. Mr. Wargo is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael “Mickey” Wargo; sisters, Helen Giles, Mary Williams, Elizabeth Cassett, Sue Terry, Ann Riffe, and Baby Mary; brothers, Joseph Wargo, George Wargo, and John Wargo. Survivors include his daughters, Tammy Jean King and Vickie Elizabeth Wargo, both of Las Vegas, NV; step-daughter, Barbara Lancaster of Ocean Springs, MS; step-son, Robert Culbertson of Ocean Springs, MS; sisters, Margaret Wasilewski of War, WV and Julia Blevins of Booneville, NC; brother, Frank Wargo of Cocoa, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Mike Lowery. A service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
