On the morning of January 17, 2021, Moseley Allen Mallette, loving husband, father of five and cattleman, passed away at the age of 90 years old.
Mose was born on August 31, 1930, in Vancleave, MS to Harry Mallette and Jane Mallette. He was a lifelong resident of Vancleave so it was only natural he would reside and raise a family of his own there as well. He joined the U.S. Army and served as Military Police. Mose married the love of his life, Senie Mae Thrash, on July 8, 1950. They raised one daughter, Elaine, and four sons, Stewart, Steve, Craig and Charles.
Mose was well known as a Southern Gentleman in the community. He loved to take his wife out on the town. His passions in life were family, work, cattle, trucking, construction, dirt work and Nascar.
Mose was founder of Moseley Mallette Farms and Mallette Brothers Trucking. He was a board member of Lucedale Livestock Association and Merchants and Marine Bank for many years. He served on the Governors Board for four years. He was affiliated with Duck's Unlimited, Steiner Ranch, Cow Creek, KD Cattle, Zero Brammer Ranch, Gulf Coast Cattle Association, EO Doggett Ranch, SEB Mining, C & E Farms and MS Road Builders.
Mose was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jane Mallette, brothers, Luthran Mallette, Harry Beeaman Mallette and Conrad Mallette, grandchildren, Travis Mallette, Jeremy Mallette, Joel Mallette and longtime best friend and son-in-law, Curtis Bright.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Senie Mae Mallette, daughter, Elaine Bright, sons, Stewart (Gail) Mallette, Steve Mallette, Craig Mallette and Charles Mallette, brother, Glynn Mallette, grandchildren, Hannah (Jared) Hughes, Missy Hunt, Charla (Brent) McKey, Angela Mallette, Jessica Mallette, Natalie (Tyler) Jemison, Julie Rouse, Miguel Mallette and Brent Mallette, great-grandchildren, Stella Story, Lyla Hughes, Hallee Hughes, Caydon McKey, Brayden McKey, Ayden McKey, Dillon Hunt and Megan Hunt.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, from 10am until 11am, with an 11am chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Vancleave #1 Cemetery on Jim Ramsay Rd.
