Natalie Darlene Prewett

Natalie Darlene “Doona” Prewett, age 62, of Pass Christian, MS peacefully passed away after a four-year battle with kidney failure, on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.

Natalie was born in Pascagoula, MS on September 17, 1959. She attended Our Lady of Victories Catholic School. She was a homemaker and child care giver. She loved football season and spending the weekends watching the Saints with her kids and grandkids. If she wasn’t home mowing the grass, you could find her in the crab leg line next to her husband of 33 years. Quick hits and crab legs were her top choice for date night. She loved a good story and she loved even more to share those stories. You couldn’t convince her that there was a better combination than an ice cold coke and a Zero bar, unless you had an orange crush cake. That was her game changer.

She spent most of her time as a homemaker but did work as a nanny for a short period of time from her home. These children meant the world to her and gave her the nickname “Doona”, which became the name all of her grandchildren would address her by. Out of all the things she loved, she took the most pride in her four kids and grandkids. If you had ears, you were going to hear about them, whether you wanted to or not. She was unapologetically herself. To know her was to love her and she will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Delmas, Jr. and Wanda Clark Delmas (Albro); and a brother Kenneth (Kenny) Russell Delmas.

Natalie is survived by her husband, Charles Paul Prewett, Jr.; children Jeremy Delmas (Desiree), Meagan Wilson, Charles Paul Prewett, III, Kyle Prewett (Alyxia); grandchildren Jaxson Delmas (21), Gracie Delmas (16), Payton Wilson (17), Sawyer Rager (8), Swayze Suber (9) and a new grandchild will join the family in 2022; and brother Darryl Delmas.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Road, Gulfport, MS.
