Pamela Anne Mitchell Walker

Pamela Anne Mitchell Walker, 64 of Gulfport, MS, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021. Pam was a native of Holly Springs and longtime resident of Gulfport. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a minor in Journalism from the great University of Mississippi in 1978. She began her career teaching in 1979 in Batesville, MS but spent the majority of her career teaching English and Literature at Gulfport High School until retiring in May 2006. Pamela enjoyed fly-fishing, reading, and going on adventures to unknown places. Her ability to make you feel loved, important, and unjudged was beyond any other. What brought her the most joy was watching her children become mothers to her beautiful grandchildren whom were the light of her life and the whole of her heart. Pam was preceded in death by her Father, Cecil LiDell Mitchell; Mother, Hallye Gray Young Mitchell; Brother, Charles LiDell Mitchell. She is survived by her sister Sheron Ruth Steele and brother-in-law Boyd Steele; Daughter, Kaylee Walker Ross, Son-in-Law, Trey Ross, Grandson, Maverick Grey Ross; Daughter, Kimberly Elise Walker, Son-in-Law, Davie Nix, Grandson, Charles Mitchell Nix, Granddaughter, Kai Dallas Nix. A private visitation was held from 10AM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church followed by a private Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
