Peter "Pete" Kandrat

Peter Kandrat, 69, of Biloxi, MS passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Peter was born in Newark, NJ on May 1, 1949. He graduated in 1967 from Summit High School in Summit, NJ and retired in 2004 from the United States Postal Service after 35 years of dedicated service. Peter’s favorite activity was watching TV, especially the Golf Channel. He was a stamp collector and had a fascination with Civil War history. His idol was Frank Sinatra. Peter loved the beach and all animals, especially his beloved dog, Barnee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter W. Kandrat and Evelyn Poppe Kandrat. Peter’s survivors include his wife, Jane Kandrat; his step-sons, Jon (Kristi) Crowell of Ocean Springs, MS and Sean (Jennifer) Crowell of Warner Robins, GA; 6 step-granddaughters and 2 step-grandsons; his sisters, Meri Kandrat (Bill) Kelsay of Berkley Heights, NJ and Lee Kandrat Curtis of Easton, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531 on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time.
