Rafael Salvador, age 87, of Siachoque Boyacá, Colombia passed away on Friday, October 4 th at Memorial Hospital. Rafael was a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS who, in his spare time,enjoyed cultivating his garden that grew the best-tasting fruits and vegetables. Whether
Colombian or US soil, there was not a ground Rafael could not tame. The chickens he raised were his pride and joy. Rafael would smile the widest when he was spending time with family.His face could not hide the deep pride and love he had for his devoted children and grandchildren.
His parents, Marcelino Salvador and Tomasa Pardo, predecease Mr. Salvador in death.
Survivors include his loving wife, Maria O. Marroquin; 11 children, Gladys Marlene, Maria
Clemencia, Luz Estella, Ana Yolanda, Flor Enith, Monica Janeth, Claudia Melina, Martha Rocio,Carlos Julio, Jose Antonio, & Humberto; 27 grandchildren, Catalina, Patricia, Adriana, Camilo,Antonio Jose, Andrea Sichaca, Karen, Diana Rocio, Lady, Michael, Sebastian, Alexander,Nathalie, Christian, Emily, Nicholas, Alejandra, Andrea, Santiago, Gina, Jeison, Jeimy, Brayan,Maria Fernanda, Luna Marianna, Sebastian Cordova, & Carlos; & 12 great grandchildren,Sebastian Rodriguez, Juan David, Samuel, Alejandro, Maria Jose, Sofia, Jacobo, Nicolas, Andres,Luciana, Martin, & Sarita Ramirez.
Services will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church on Friday, October 11 th at 5pm.
