Ray Anthony Simmons, age 64, of Biloxi, passed from this life on Friday, June 12, 2015.
Ray was born in Biloxi where he remained a lifelong resident. He loved to sing and dance, but will be remembered as a terrific cook. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and an “all around great guy.” He was a self-employed carpenter who built many custom homes along the Gulf Coast.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Antoinette Simmons; daughters, Dawn Simmons; sister, Sylvia Montgomery; and grandson, James Hosek.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Marie Simmons; daughters, Rachel Simmons, Deena (Ryan) Denman, Wendy Garrett and Gail (Tracy) McDougal; brother, Howard Daniel (Patricia) Simmons, Sr.; grandchildren, Joshua, Devin, Sarah, Rhiannon and Rebekah; great grandchildren, Grayson, Ernest and Brooklynn; and very special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Mike Seymour.
